Reminders:
- We’ll print your spiel sheet for you. If you make any late updates, then bring one with you. Otherwise, we’ve already taken care of them.
- Make sure your CD is a CLEAN copy. The sound system is a very high-end professional model, and even fingerprints can cause a problem, along with scratches, etc.
- If you’d like Greg to burn your show music to his iPod, that is a great option! Bring him an extra copy of your music on a CD, clearly labeled with your group’s name and which track you are using. (Any updates to your soundtrack would be your responsibility.)
- Any group may bring an iPod or other mp3 player to use for your performance if you wish.
- Always have multiple copies of your show music on CD in case of emergency.
- One person from your staff should stay at the sound table at all times during your performance.
- Remember that sound checks are for SPEED ONLY. The circuit controls all volume levels. If your soundtrack needs speed changes within the show, please make sure you take care of that when burning your CD.
- Make sure the parents, friends, etc. with your group know not to take flash photos during any performances. If this is a problem, it will cause your performance to be stopped at the discretion of the contest director to ensure the safety of the performers. Many people do not listen to the announcements during the show, so make sure to remind your members to tell their parents and friends before the show.
- Each unit receives ONE video pass. This is to comply with our copyright agreements and will not be negotiable. There will be an area marked off at each show, and one person from each group may video from that area during your group’s performance only. Please remind your members that parents, friends, etc. will not be allowed to videotape from the stands.
